After only playing football for 2 years in highschool, I was recruited to play for the University of Pittsburgh. By my redshirt freshman year, I played in 13 games including the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte and the Sun Bowl in El Paso.
Believing that I was good enough to kick field goals for a different power 5 school, I transferred 2,000 miles away to Oregon State and even turned down a full scholarship to a smaller FBS school. I was never able to find the success I had at Pittsburgh and graduated from OSU after only a year and a half with an Economics degree. I came back home and worked for a home remodeler for 6 months before heading back to the University of Pittsburgh to finish my Civil Engineering degree.
Driven by my new found love of the Pacific Northwest, I wanted to see what other cool and exciting places the U.S. had to offer. After graduating from Pitt, I took a job with a specialty foundation contractor and have since lived in 5 different states in 1.5 years ranging from Los Angeles to Boston.
